Lady Gaga in 'The Simpsons' recording studio via Entertainment Weekly It's official, Lady Gaga will be immortalized on The Simpsons. In an episode called "Lisa Goes Gaga", the eccentric singer's cartoon alter-ego comes through Springfield on the "Gaga Express" train and attempts to lift Lisa's spirits with song and cheer... and then smacks a kiss on Marge. She joked to Entertainment Weekly: "I play a little bit of a slut. The apple doesn't fall far from my artistic tree."
Although the show's producers sang Gaga's praise, the iconic performer found the experience "nerve-wracking" and felt challenged by voice-acting. “I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor,” she told EW.
Gaga, who once smeared stage blood on her chest at the VMAs and performed alongside Elton John at the 2010 Grammys, said her guest spot on The Simpsons was "one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. My dad’s probably going to do 80 backflips when the episode comes out.”
